Jake Weien is CreativeJake.
An intro to art class at San Joaquin Delta College pried Jake away from his engineering future and led him to study graphic design at Northern Arizona University. Upon graduation, Jake studied the trade, honed his design and technical skills, and eventually metamorphasized into the current day CreativeJake.
He cherished his time spent in the darkroom, but praises artforms utilizing digital cameras and Adobe Photoshop. InDesign is his page layout software of choice for everything from business cards to brochures to books. The other masterful Adobe products: Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Acrobat combined with other powerful software such as Apple's Final Cut Pro and iApps comprise his arsenal of design tools. He has spent years of time with Microsoft Office developing PowerPoint presentations and templates in Word for Fortune 500 companies, governmental agencies, and ma n’ pa shops across America.
But anyone can buy software. It is CreativeJake's design education and experience utilizing strong design fundamentals in every medium he works with that places the capital "C" at the beginning of CreativeJake.
CreativeJake draws on paper first, then transfers his ideas to the computer. Whether he is developing logos, advertising, packaging, or other marketing materials from hat pins to billboards, the process is the same. Although CreativeJake has dabbled in illustration and designed for television and multimedia (websites and CD-ROMs) ever since he began, print production is his first real baby. He has evolved and learned the amazing powers of the web and social networking (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) as a viable marketing tool for any size business.
